- MELTING POINT : PEEK has a glass transition temperature of around 143 degree C (289 ?F) and melts around 343 degree C (662 ?F). Some grades have a useful operating temperature of up to 250 degree C (482 ?F).
- SLIDING PROPERTIES : With low coefficient of friction, PEEK offers excellent sliding properties and is ideal for various contact applications
- RADIATION RESISTANCE : Unlike many polymers, PEEK's radiation resistance is quite high and it can absorb over 1000 units of radiation without any noticeable loss of its mechanical properties.
- PRESSURE RESISTANCE : The processing conditions used to mold PEEK can influence the crystallinity, and hence the mechanical properties. The Young's modulus is 3.6 GPa and its tensile strength 90 to 100 MPa.
- FATIGUE RESISTANCE : With higher hardness and greater impact strength, PEEK ROD offers excellent fatigue resistance and long lasting performance even under heavy load.
