The Cooper-Atkins DPP800W dual-range digital thermometer is used for monitoring temperature in food products and food service applications, including dishwashers. It measures temperature from -40 to +450 degree Fahrenheit (-40 to +232 degree Celsius), with an accuracy of + or - 1 degree Fahrenheit (+ or - 0.5 degree Celsius) from 32 to 212 degree Fahrenheit (0 to 100 degree Celsius). Its stainless-steel stem-style probe is 4 inch long and has a reduced penetration tip for taking measurements while immersed in liquid or air. It has a 12 inch reach when fully extended with the sheath to protect the operator from heat sources. The Minimum or Maximum temperature memory function stores high and low readings. The ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic housing material has an anti-microbial additive to help deter bacterial growth. The unit operates on a single 1.5V battery and turns off automatically after 10 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life.
