Gujarat Petrosynthese Ltd., Bangalore, Karnataka, India July 2006 – July 2008 Senior Manager-Technical Managed projects to improve existing compounds and develop compounds for new applications, was involved in optimizing extruder output, color control in the final product through the use of spectrophotometer. In addition I carried out technical marketing and market development for Polyisobutylene and silicones. Compounds worked with include talc filled PP, glass filled Polyamide, glass filled POM, PEEK, ABS, PC/PO, PC/ABS, PA/PP. Metal part replacement was achieved through research of materials, estimation of properties with respect to matrix and fibers and their processing method. Further I designed a test rig in house to test the new product using available resources. Cycle time reduction involved research of additives, optimization of processing conditions, testing of injection molded specimens according to ASTM standards, using a 22 ton injection molding machine for molding and Instron machine for testing. Later the conditions were scaled up for actual blow molding of stadium seat arm rests. Naltech Pvt.
