our sample Survey. In this study we try to locate

FINAL PROJECT
“Channel effectiveness of OTC Medicines”
Description : This project was based on
Descriptive cum Explorative Research, regarding
Motivation factors which will affect the Over the
Counter (OTC) sales in the field of Health
industry. The study was done on the people who
visit medical stores and the hospitals and purchase
the medicines with or without prescription.
Findings : It was found that Media
(both print and broadcasting) is playing a major
role in “Over the Counter” sales for Medicines and
general Medical treatments. The second Major factor
is the Chemist/Druggist at the counter. Another big
factor is Friends & Family. These factors work as
channel for the spreading of the Various
Instruments in the Marketing.
