- HIGH QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL: These #10 Wood Screws (Drywall Screws) are high quality grade Marine Grade Type 316 Stainless Steel, giving the screws one of the highest forms of corrosion resistance and strength, making it last longer than other hardware on the market today.
- Type 316 steel is an austenitic chromium-nickelstainless steel that contains between two and three percent molybdenum. The molybdenum content increases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting in chloride ion solutions and increases strength at high temperatures. Type 316 Stainless is more resistant to corrosion than 18-8 stainless but not as strong. Ideal for Salt Water envirovments or chemical exposure environments.
- Type 17 Point - This thread cutting screw is ideal for use with wood; it offers a coarse tapping screw thread as well as a special long sharp point that is fluted in order to capture chips. The patented thread design and Type 17 point make drilling faster, reduce splitting, and allow these screws to be driven into most hardwoods without pre-drilling
