Orient Green synchronises 40 MW wind farm

Chennai : Orient Green Power Company Ltd (OGPL), an independent renewable energy company, has synchronised a wind farm of 40.80 MW capacity with the state grid of Tamil Nadu through its subsidiary Beta Wind Farms Ltd. The farm is located at Kazugumalai in the Tirunelveli / Thuthukudi districts.

Orient Green Power Europe, a subsidiary of OGPL, also synchronised a 10.5 MW wind farm in Croatia recently.

With the addition of these farms, OGPL has an operating capacity of 250 MW of wind energy apart from 50 MW of biomass-based power making it one of major renewable energy power producer in the country.
