Saint-Gobain India - Gyproc has launched its first manufacturing facility for ceiling tiles at Jhagadia, Gujarat. Spread across over 21,000 sq-ft, the unit is located to service the market of gypsum ceiling tiles across India, helping minimize carbon footprint and turnaround time for material availability.
Commissioned in September 2020, the facility has an annual capacity of 6 million m2 per year for Gyprex PVC laminated ceiling tiles & Gyptone perforated acoustical tiles. Gyprex range of ceiling tiles will be available with designs inspired by natural habitats and man-made architectural marvels of the world.
Sudeep Kolte, VP, sales and marketing, at -Gobain India - Gyproc, said, “The ceiling tiles market is dominated by Chinese imports, but remains largely unorganised. Through the new plant, we intend to cater to the market through our vast dealer network.”
