Bangladesh to stop brick export to India owing to severe harm to soil fertility

New Delhi : Bangladesh has decided to stop exporting of bricks to India, said Muhammad Faruk Khan, Bangladesh Commerce Minister. This announcement came while giving response to a supplementary question from treasury bench member Shahiduzzman Sarkar that before the export stops, the World Trade Oraganisation (WTO) norms would be followed.

Mr Khan has further elaborated that in the last few years, Bangladesh had exported a considerable quantity of bricks to India but it has lead to several other problems.
