Ambuja Cements Limited began trial runs at its greenfield integrated plant (Marwar Cement Works) in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan.
Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, virtually inaugurated the trial runs at the new greenfield integrated plant.
In the regulatory filing, the firm said that it has developed over an investment of Rs 2,350 crore. This greenfield integrated plant improves Ambuja’s clinker capacity by 3 MTPA and helps in enhancing cement sales by 5 MTPA, thereby adding to the long term goal of capacity expansion.
The plant has a waste heat recovery system (WHRS) that transforms waste heat obtained during the production process into energy.
