Aravali forest land of 250 acre encroached as per drone survey

The forest department conducted a drone investigation that revealed illegal encroachments on 250 hectares of forest land in Gurugram. About 225 hectares of land are under the Punjab Land Conservation Act (PLPA), with the remaining 25 hectares under the Aravali forest area.

It was revealed after the forest department analyzed the Aravalli region's first drone survey. The survey was conducted on 27 August on 7,019 hectares of forest land.

The drone investigation started on August 7 in Gurgaon, with four teams deployed to conduct the drone investigation. The owners of the illegal structures in the Aravalli region have received about 580 warnings.
