On Sunday, the government of Gujarat announced the approval of the two urban development plans (TP), one in Gandhinagar and the second in Rajkot.
The No. 26 of the draft TP Scheme, Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA) and the Provisional TP Scheme in No. 32 in Rajkot have been sanctioned.
At a meeting, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani asked the officials of the urban development department to promote the completion of the TP plans to ensure growth and development in the cities.
Gandhinagar's urban plan covers about 100 acres including Vasna, Uvarsad, Hadmatiya and Vavol.
GUDA has allocated 32,187 m² of land for public services, 34,738 m² of open spaces and gardens and 12,965 m² of educational land for schools.
