PM Narendra Modi has been in contact with the CEOs and global experts of the oil and gas industry via video conference.
He discussed in detail reforms implemented in the oil and gas sector over the past seven years, including exploration and licensing policies, gas marketing, coal seam methane policies, coal gasification and the current reform of the Indian gas exchange. He added that these reforms continue Atmanirbhar Bharat's goal in the oil and gas sector.
He said the focus has shifted from revenue to maximum production and also discussed the need to improve crude oil storage facilities.
