The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has approved the construction of industrial and institutional units in the area.
This comes after many lots intended for installing information technology-related units failed to get buyers.
The government has recognized about 40 remaining plots of land and aims to draw up an allotment plan for them in the short term. As the GNIDA is in the process of listing the remaining IT lots, more can be added to the schedule. The country is located in the industrial and institutional sectors of Greater Noida, where companies such as Wipro and NIT have already installed offices.
About 100 lots were reserved for IT units and similar services and products.
