Larsen & Toubro's construction arm has bagged orders worth Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore from metal industry and Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the engineering major said on Monday.
L&T has received the DRDO order to build their flight control system at Aeronautical Development Establishment, Bengaluru. The project involves the construction of a 1.2 lakh square meter facility with six floors above the ground floor. The project is expected to be completed within four months.
“The project will demonstrate L&T's technological expertise in modular offsite construction with composite truss beam technology that will be used for the construction. Ninety percent of the building components will be manufactured off-site, except for the foundations,” said L&T.
