NPCI Bharat BillPay has installed Tata Power on its platform that enables customers to pay their electricity bill hassle-free and seamlessly.
This allows more than seven lakh customers of Tata Power (Mumbai) to pay their electricity bills through the ClickPay payment link.
NPCI Bharat BillPay, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India, has announced integration with Tata Power, making it the first energy company to go live on the newly launched platform, a release said on Tuesday.
Bharat BillPay's Marquee - ClickPay allows Tata Power customers to easily pay monthly electricity bills. Tata Power generates the ClickPay link and shares it with customers, who redirect them to the payment details page.
This convenient and secure two-step process helps customers pay the bills without the hassle of entering the invoice amount, remembering invoice payment dates and going through difficult steps to pay an invoice, the release said.
“Tata Power (Mumbai) is the first electricity bill to go live on NBBL ClickPay. NPCI has always been very attentive to innovation and comes up with new customer-friendly payment options,” said Ramesh Subramanyam, Chief Finance Officer, Tata Power.
This payment option will bring more convenience to more than seven lakh consumers of Tata Power (Mumbai) to pay their bills digitally with just the click of a button, said Nilesh Kane, Chief-Distribution (Mumbai Operations), Tata Power.
This could help Tata Power move its customers from offline to an online platform, Kane added.
Noopur Chaturvedi, CEO, NPCI Bharat BillPay said: “We believe that this partnership would benefit a large number of Tata Power customers in terms of seamless payments of electricity bills.
