Ahmedabad roads of 6,244 km to undergo repairs

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) informed the Supreme Court that the city's Roads and Buildings Department would ensure that no newly constructed or paved roads would be dug by Road Opening (RO) or utility companies. Between September 2021 and July 2022, the RO agencies, including a municipal corporation, the state government, central government, semi-government and private utilities, are to dig 25,315 stretches of approximately 6,244 km of roads.

Within ten months, the agencies will drill 3 lakh wells in city roads to install underground nodes for public utilities and cable networks.
