Five places in Naroda and Santej in Ahmedabad will have urban development planned, including social facilities and infrastructure development.
The government of Gujarat has approved eight urban development plans (TP).
It includes five draft urban plans in Ahmedabad, one urban plan in Bhavnagar, one in Rajkot and one preliminary urban plan in Patna.
The total area is 86.31 hectares, of which 72.34 hectares is for the design of urban plans and 13.97 hectares for the preliminary urban plan, which is intended for urban development.
The draft urban plan of Naroda no. 127 A, B, C and D and Santej urban plan no. 153 have been approved. The urban plans of Vavdi in Rajkot and Sidsar in Bhavnagar have also been approved.
The government said that in addition to infrastructure, local government agencies would set up housing plans for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), set aside gardens and open lots.
