Days after the Supreme Court imposed another ban on construction works in Delhi-NCR to curb air pollution, a construction company has moved the Supreme Court asking for the ban to be lifted because the order failed to take into account the views of all stakeholders.
In its appeal filed with the Supreme Court, the Developers and Builders Forum said it had been prejudiced by the Nov. 24 court order to re-impose construction activities in the NCR excluding non-polluting activities. such as interior decoration, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.
The blanket ban on all construction works even includes small-scale construction of homes and other units that can in no way be said to cause large-scale pollution, the forum said.
