Mohali administration sets sand rates at Rs 21 per cubic feet

The Mohali administration has set tariffs for the sale of sand and gravel in the district and has furthermore set aside three zones as legal sites for purchasing sand and gravel.

Mohali's deputy commissioner, Isha Kalia, has warned against strict action against those found guilty of selling sand and gravel above the stipulated charges. In the three zones Handesra, Majri and Mubarakpur, values ​​of crushers and retailers have been established. Panchayats can get free sand from any mine quarry to carry out development work. Strict action will be taken against any retailer or crusher owner who charges above specified prices.
