Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sounderrajan congratulated the state on achieving 100 percent first dose of vaccination and urged people to take second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
After completing 100 percent vaccination of the first doses of COVID-19 in Telangana, the governor visited the Chintalbasti Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Addressing media outlets yesterday, the governor said: "Telangana has completed 100 percent first dose of vaccination and 65 percent second dose of vaccination. I appeal to the people to also take the second dose of vaccination. Just a single dose is not enough and the people have to also take a second dose. Now we have entered the era of taking a booster dose."
She congratulated the state of Telangana for achieving 100 percent first dose of vaccination, and congratulated and commended the efforts of the state government, officials, doctors, ASHA employees and other paramedical personnel for achieving this remarkable achievement.
Soundararajan also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing the state with a sufficient number of vaccine doses.
She further stressed that she must adhere to COVID-appropriate behavior to contain the spread of the escalating pandemic due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.
“Apart from vaccination, we have to be very careful with the omicron, in Africa the health workers have only completed 4 percent of the vaccination and even Health Minister Harish Rao said that unvaccinated people are being severely affected. In Puducherry people are being severely affected. , she added.
The Governor of Telangana also called on people not to be reckless even after taking vaccinations and called on people to follow corona protocols to celebrate New Year.
