YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the prime minister of the state, opened the property registration process in 37 village secretariats. Officials have selected 37 village secretariats for a pilot project to conduct an integrated land survey.
For the first time in 100 years, the state government is conducting a comprehensive land survey across the country. The research uses advanced technologies such as drones to physically map the area and its borders.
According to authorities who spoke to the prime minister, the comprehensive land survey would be completed by June 2023. They also said three drones have been hired for each income department and filming of the country will be completed by December 2022 using the drones. The mapping would be completed by digitization, according to officials.
Before giving permanent landholdings pattas to the owners, the prime minister instructed officials to ensure that all issues, including property and boundaries, are resolved peacefully. Reddy also told them to give valid titles to the lands the ancestors had given to them.
Reddy informed them to meet the parties involved in the conflicts and try to resolve the issues amicably through communication. The Prime Minister asked the officials to address the problems at the level of the village secretariat.
When it came to property registration with village secretariats, Reddy urged staff not to leave any opportunity for corruption. Reddy wanted them to speed up the dispute resolution and property registration process. Reddy told officials to make sure the data was not tampered with.
The amount of land, the boundaries, the names of the owners and the nature of the land must all be clearly stated in the registration forms. After collecting clear information from the owners, the information should be recorded with all these facts.
