The government of Haryana is considering changes to the building regulations with additional safety criteria to ensure the safety of residents before or after the purchase of apartments in multi-storey group housing companies.
The city local authorities, Spatial Planning Department and Haryana Sheri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) are already working on the issues related to better building safety standards.
Meanwhile, the government is further analyzing the possibility of giving the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (H-Rera) additional powers for security and other related matters.
Senior officials in the Chief Minister's (CMO) office said work in this direction has already started and there is a chance to make some changes before the meeting.
