Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) emerged as the lowest bidder to build a 56.7km package CG-2 from the 464km Raipur-Vizag Expressway.
The 464 km long Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor (NH-130CD and EC-15) is also known as Raipur-Vizag Expressway.
This new 6 lane highway has a number of access controlled sections with a greenfield alignment connecting the states of Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
Packet CG-2 is the second and third pack within Chhattisgarh and will connect Sargi-Basanwahi from 42.8 km to 99.5 km.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invited bids for its construction in December last year with a two-year deadline and an estimated cost of Rs. 1203.15 crore. The technical bids were opened in February to reveal seven interested bidders.
The scope of the work includes the development of the 6-lane Sargi-Basanwahi section of the NH-130-CD road from 42.8 km to 99.5 km under the Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor in Chhattisgarh on the hybrid annuity model (HAM) of package CG-2.
DBL's quoted price of Rs. 1141 crore was under NHAI's estimate of Rs. 1203.15 crore, so a contract should be awarded to DBL soon without a long financial offer evaluation period.
The technical bids for this project of the 25,161 km stretch of package CG-3 connecting Basanwahi-Marangpuri will open on March 1.
