Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Vice Chairman and General Manager, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao issues orders for the purchase of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) for Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses and private leased buses gas station gas stations.
On Monday, Tirumala Rao said that since the consumption of HSD for RTC buses is huge, oil companies are offering it to the Transport Corporation at a lower price.
In recent days, a sharp increase in the costs of HSD has been observed in recent days.
The rate at which oil companies are currently selling the HSD to RTC has increased compared to the retail price of gas stations.
The difference in price is about Rs 4.30. This price difference has been calculated by the RTC for a consumption of 7.30 lakh liters per day. The additional cost is about Rs 32 lakh per day. Rao said the additional charge totals about Rs 10 crore per month.
The order also stated that the measurement and quality should not be performed until the verification under the supervision of the vigilance officers has been completed.
