Kobelco's new 20-tonne SK-series excavator, the SK210LC-11, offers more standard features, an improved cab, easier maintenance and better performance.
The machine is powered by a 160 hp Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engine. Kobelco said the new engine delivers 18% more torque compared to the previous model.
The company says the SK210LC-11 gives 52,740 pound-feet swing torque, 51,300 pounds of drawbar pull and 32,190 pounds of bucket digging force. The machine's 50,000 lb. operating weight increases stability when used to lift heavy loads.
To maintain constant power, the excavator is equipped with an independent drive function, using one hydraulic pump continuously for driving and the other for the attachment.
The SK210LC-11 offers three working modes: Eco, S and H. These aim to strike a balance between economy, low fuel consumption and high performance. In times of increased muscle need, the heavy lift and power boost functions can be activated with unlimited time usage.
The company told the media that it has upgraded the SK210LC-11 construction with thicker side panels and a larger bucket cylinder pin to improve performance and durability.
In the redesigned cab, operators will find a seven-way heated, adjustable, air-suspension seat and relocated air conditioning and heater grilles. It will also feature a 10-inch color monitor to provide a 270-degree view from the three-camera system.
