Indian solar developer and power producer Azure Power has announced that it has fully commissioned its 300 megawatts (MW) interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power project in Rajasthan.
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded this solar energy project for the transmission system.
According to the media, it is in Bhadla, Rajasthan and the power produced from the project is being supplied to SECI at a tariff of Rs 2.58 per kWh for 25 years.
Ranjit Gupta, Azure Power MD and Chief Executive, told the media that despite the supply and health chain difficulties in the last two years, they are pleased with the operationalizing progress of the projects.
He said that so far, they have operationalized nearly 700 MW in this fiscal year (FY), which shows their strong implementation and project capabilities.
Gupta added that the company also operationalized 2,683 MW of high-performing renewable energy assets in India.
Azure Power is an independent power generating firm, a developer and utility operator and commercial-scale solar PV power plants.The firm sells energy to independent and government industrial and commercial buyers in India.
