The Rail Infrastructure Development Company Karnataka (K-RIDE) has invited bids for the construction of an elevated line from Baiyappanahalli to Chikkabanavara and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) emerged as the lowest bidder by quoting Rs 859 crore.
Amit Garg, general manager of K-RIDE, told the media that of the three bidders, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) emerged as the lowest bidder by quoting Rs 859 crore.
He said the contractor is expected to mobilize the necessary resources to begin construction within a month.
K-RIDE has also requested bids for the Mallige line, corridor 2 for its civil works. The total length of the corridor is 25 km and has 14 stations.
