TDP MP urges MoRTH to construct three flyovers to avoid congestion

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kesineni Srinivas Nani urged the Minister of Road Transport and Roads, Nitin Gadkari, to develop three new flyovers from Mahanadu Junction to Nidamanuru Junction to ease vehicular traffic on Chennai-Kolkata National Highway-16 ease.

The MP also thanked the minister for building overpasses connecting Benz Circle, Nirmala Convent and Ramesh Hospital Junction.

The construction of flyovers could have eased traffic congestion between Mahanadu and Nidamanuru.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has proposed a 6.5 km elevated corridor between the intersections, which is impractical given the increased cost of land acquisition for the project.

In addition to the elevated corridor, the MP urged the minister that the construction of three flyovers at Mahanadu Junction, Ramavarappadu Junction and Enikepadu Junction would be feasible.

Gadkari said proposals for the construction of the three viaducts are under consideration.
