Passengers will soon be able to travel on Memu trains to the bus stop near Kempegowda International Airport.
The newly electrified Yelahanka-Devanahalli-Chikkaballapur 45 km section was inspected on Saturday by Abhai Kumar Rai, Commissioner for Railway Safety (Southern Circle).
A South Western Railway (SWR) official told the media that the Commission of Railway Safety (CRS) inspection had been completed, as well as a full section speed test of 100 km/h.
The electrification of the route will mainly benefit airport passengers as SWR will be able to operate Mainline Electric Multiple Units (Memu) to and from the bus stop.
