Coal India Limited (CIL) rose 5.57% to Rs 199.95 after the company increased its deliveries to thermal power plants by 14.2% during the first half (H1) of April 2022, in the same period last year.
Deliveries from CIL have reached 1.64 million tonnes (mt) per day, up from 1.43 mt delivered in a comparable period in April 2021.
The company increased its production to 26.4 million tons in the first half of April 2022, a 27% year-on-year growth. CIL is heading for the highest production ever in April. The output expansion in volume terms was 5.7 mt.
