Tata Steel will close its business with Russia, making it the latest global company to cut ties before the invasion of Ukraine.
Tata Steel's spokesman told media that the company has no operations or employees in Russia and has decided to stop doing business with Russia.
The company said that to ensure business continuity, all of the company's steel production sites in India, the UK and the Netherlands have found alternative raw materials to end dependence on Russia.
Tata Steel is one of the few Indian companies to have done business with Russia as the initiative approaches, even though India abstains from condemning the invasion and has not imposed sanctions on Moscow.
