The National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of seven cable car projects in the state under the Parvatmala Yojana.
Cableway projects of about 57 km worth Rs 3,232 crore have been given the go-ahead from NHLML and the government of Himachal Pradesh.
Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Roads, Transport and Highways, and Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, were present at the occasion. The ministers also inspected ongoing development projects in the state. Parvatmala is a national ropeway development program proposed to build a modern transportation system and connectivity in the mountains.
