Tiruchi-Dindigul NH to be widened into four-land at Rs 74.80 cr

The Tiruchi-Dindigul Highway was to be widened into a dual carriageway, with the estimated cost of Rs 74.80 crore from the State Highways Department under the Chief Minister Road Development Program (CMRDP).

Minister of Municipal Administration K N Nehru, Minister of Roads and Transport EV Velu and Minister of School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi inaugurated the project.

Under the project, the road section would be widened from Junction Road Overbridge at Ponnagar to Thayanur.

While the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has widened the Tiruchi-Dindigul National Highway (NH-45) into a four-lane highway. The road section has been transferred to the National Road Administration for maintenance.
