To reduce emissions from the steel sector, a high-level meeting was held in Shimla.

India has pledged to reduce COP26 emissions. The chairman also emphasizes the importance of promoting Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The theme of the meeting, Transition to Green Steel, was discussed extensively and the recommendations of many attendees were taken into account.
