After much delay, the detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Mughal road tunnel is finally nearing completion.
The government had started preparations for it in August 2019.
Previously, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDC), which was commissioned in March 2019, hired Rodic Consultants Private Limited as a joint venture (JV) with Madrid-based Getnisa-Euro studios to design DPR.
It (Rodic) then started working on the DPR and presented a preliminary project assessment (PPR), and after that nothing happened for a long time, an official from the Mughal Road division told media.
He said the consultancy has recently shown sincerity and completed the investigation of the project.
