The Cement Corporation of India (CCI), which is bidding online for the machines of the defunct cement factory, is buzzing about a proposed mini-airport in the city of Adilabad, and the center's approval is gaining intensity.
According to CCI, e-tenders can be sent from May 5 to May 23, and bids will open after 120 days.
The residents believe that if the mini-airport is sanctioned, it will bring down the cement factory. The proposed airport is near the now-defunct cement factory and the smoke rising from the latter would hide the runway, making it difficult for planes to take off or land.
