The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will jointly initiate the demarcation process of the proposed 45 km northern ring road connecting the national highways of Delhi and Agra from next week.
Ravi Jain, Jaipur Development Commissioner (JDC) recently formed a committee composed of three senior JDA engineers who will assist the NHAI team to restore the final alignment of the corridor.
The committee coordinates with NHAI officials and informs them about important roads that fall on the route and are foreseen in the 2025 Master Plan. This leads to careful planning and the joint committee can, if desired, propose underpasses or bridges, so that overlapping of the ring road with major sector roads can be avoided.
