Solar Energy Corp of India Ltd. has opened domestic bids for a network interactive 22 MW (AC) solar power project in Telangana on behalf of the state mining company Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL). At SCCL's Ramagundam Opencast–I site, the solar project will be built on an overload landfill.
The contract covers the design, engineering, supply, construction, testing and commissioning of the solar power plant. The winning contractor will also provide operation and maintenance services for a period of ten years.
The solar cells and modules of the PV project are to be produced in India. The cell and module makers must also be listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
