Srinagar-Baramulla railway link to connect Kashmir with rest of the country

The stations and tracks for the massive project of Sirnagar-Baramulla Railway Link will be built at an elevation greater than Qutab Minar, making train travel at such an elevation nothing short of a miracle.

Northern Railway general manager Ashutosh Gangal told media that construction of the remaining 111 km of the entire 272 km route is progressing rapidly.

A tunnel will be constructed over 58 kilometers of the 111 kilometer span.

Work on the Reasi railway station in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, which is part of the Jammu-Baramulla line, is nearing completion, with the pouring of concrete slabs at bridge number 39, which spans a 105-foot valley.
