Cement stocks have recently been hit by a decline in demand and rising input prices to the industry.
Jefferies told media that cement prices fell by 3% on a monthly basis (MoM) or Rs 11 per bag in May 2022.
The company stressed that the risk of cuts in earnings estimates has resurfaced. It said several markets fell on weak demand, with the smallest drop in the western and the largest in the central region.
According to a report, prices in all regions of the country fell to Rs 35 per bag per month in May.
