Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) has drawn up a plan to use more than 224 hectares of vacant urban land for the development of residential, commercial, institutional and infrastructure facilities in the city.
According to an official, the municipal company expects to generate Rs 10,000 crore in revenue from the project.
The civil body has 918.70 acres of vacant land, of which 277.25 acres are under trial in Bajghera village. Of the remaining 641.45 acres, 224.77 acres are in the urban areas and 416.68 acres in the agricultural area.
The municipality has planned major projects including hospitals, group homes, associations, commercial complexes, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, women's colleges, rental spaces and sports facilities.
