Siemens Gamesa, the wind turbine manufacturer, has won an order from Vena Energy, a Singapore-based company to supply wind turbines for a 133 MW wind project in Karnataka, India.
Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will supply 37 of its 3.X platform turbines named SG 3.6-145 for the wind project.
Installation work at the site is most likely to begin next year and the turbines will be manufactured at Siemens Gamesa's sites in India.
Siemens Gamesa and Vena Energy started their partnership with a 154 MW wind farm in 2015 in Andhra Pradesh state.
Vena Energy has more than 300 MW of capacity installed in the country in wind facilities in several states including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
This deal has expanded the company's portfolio with Siemens Gamesa to nearly 600 MW.

Monika Rathi, head of Vena Energy India, said they are collaborating with Siemens Gamesa for the 3.6 MW turbines for their Blended Wind Power project in Gudadur, Karnataka.
This project will make Vena Energy's total capacity in the country 1,162MW while strengthening its commitment to amplify the green energy transition locally.
