HERC agrees to procure 800 MW hybrid power from SECI

Recently, the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) approved the Power Sale Agreement (PSA) filed by the Haryana Power Purchase Center (HPPC) to purchase 800 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS) wind-solar hybrid energy from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI).

The power has a leveled rate of Rs 2.34 per kWh for 700 MW and Rs 2.35 per kWh for 100 MW capacity. HERC has also approved the trade margin of Rs 0.07 per kWh.

It had instructed HPPC to submit a copy of the signed PSA within a week of signing the PSA.

HPPC has filed a petition seeking approval for the draft PSA to purchase 800 MW ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power.
