The Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) has held a draw for flats to be built under the Atal Apartments plan in Nehru Sidhant Kendra.
The draw was held for 336 high-income (HIG) and 240 middle-income (MIG) flats. The LIT obtained 821 applications for HIG flats and 151 applications for 240 MIG flats.
A list of residents whose names have been announced in the draw will now be sent to local authorities for approval, after which tenders for the construction work will be issued.
The officials claimed the entire process could take at least a few months.
