Aurangabad district administration will acquire a total of 1,800 sqm of land for the construction of a railway underpass and also for the widening of the existing road in Shivajinagar. The Land Acquisition Department has issued a notice to take over the land in accordance with the directions of the district collector Sunil Chavan of Aurangabad.
In the latest order, the Land Acquisition Department has called for the required paperwork to be completed as soon as possible, citing the pending public interest (PIL) lawsuits seeking the construction of the desired facilities for the Bombay Supreme Court's Aurangabad Bank . Shivajinagar manual rail crossing gate is operated almost 40 to 50 times a day for the passage of express, passenger and freight trains stopping the movement of pedestrians and vehicles at the busy point on Beed bypass.
