Andhra Pradesh has made a major investment as Shree Cement has decided to set up an integrated cement factory in Guntur district. The company has decided to invest almost 25 billion. Shree Cement's board of directors has approved plans to set up the new plant. It will set up the factory with an annual production capacity of 3 million tons (MMT).
Sources said the state government has identified and allocated land near the village of Peda Garlapadu in Gurazala constituency. The company has already completed the spade work before it formally launched. The company is gearing up to complete the first phase of the project in 2024.
