ASV launches mid-size track loader

The new 53.8-horsepower Tier 4.3-cylinder Yanmar turbo engine powers ASV's mid-sized RT-50 Posi-Track loader, which delivers 8 percent more power than the previous model.

The machine has a width of 58.5 inches, a lift height of 9.1 ft, a rated working capacity of 1,400 pounds and a top speed of 7.1 mph, making it ideal for rental centers and contractors working in tight spaces such as construction, landscaping and snow clearing. The RT-50 is designed to be towed behind a half-ton pickup or SUV.

The unit has a hydraulic auxiliary pressure of 3,000 psi and a flow rate of 13.3 gallons per minute. To avoid loss of power, the hydraulic system includes large pipe sizes, hydraulic coolers and direct drive pumps, all designed to transfer more flow and pressure directly to the attachment. Operators can change attachments from the cab using an optional hydraulic quick coupler system.

In temperatures from -40°F to 118°F, the RT-50 can operate at full load 100 percent of the time. Heating and air conditioning are available as an option in an all-weather cab, and a pressurized cab provides a cleaner environment in the cab.
