Vedanta Aluminum said it is eager to work with the automotive industry across the value chain to reduce the industry's reliance on metal imports. The use of aluminum in cars, whether electric, hybrid or combustion engine vehicles, has increased significantly as a result of growing consumer awareness about sustainability and tightening emissions standards.
The company said in a statement that it is eager to work with the automotive industry, from major players to OEMs and MSMEs, to reduce the industry's reliance on imports.
In a recent national webinar hosted by India's Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), it advocated "green" aluminum.
According to the company, it has long been a partner of the automotive industry, creating product solutions that exactly match their evolving needs.
