The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co (MSEDCL) has invited bids to purchase power from 500 MW inter- or intra-state grid-connected solar projects, with long-term contracts. The last day to submit the bids is August 30, 2022. The opening date of the bid will be announced later.
Bidders are required to pay Rs 25,000 ($319) for the cost of bid documents and Rs 300,000 ($3,791) as a non-refundable bid processing fee. They are also required to submit a serious deposit of Rs 472,000 ($5,965)/MW in quoted capacity. Successful bidders are required to submit Rs 1.3 million ($16,419)/MW of listed capacity as a performance bank guarantee.
MSEDCL will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the selected bidders for the purchase of solar energy for 25 years from the planned commercial operation date in the case of proposed or new solar projects.
