Ambuja Cement, one of India's most innovative and sustainable cement makers, has renewed its focus on digitization. This will remain a key focus area for Ambuja as it aims to reshape the way the company works – from running the factories to managing logistics and supply chains and ensuring customer connectivity.
To do this, the company has invested in its "Plants of Tomorrow" initiative, which aims to improve plant optimization, increase plant availability and provide a safer work environment to increase production efficiency. The operational efficiency of the company will increase dramatically as a result of the project compared to typical cement plants.
Furthermore, the Transport Analytics Center helps the organization improve logistics efficiency through route optimization, cost optimization and better traffic safety. This center detects anomalies on site and is now the main data source for the entire supply chain.
Marwar Cement Works' modern robotic laboratory, which has a large number of auto sampling sites, leads the complete quality control and process optimization. Without any human intervention, collected samples are transferred to the laboratory for analysis with the highest possible precision. In addition to making laboratories and sample rooms dust-free, automated sampling has minimized the risks associated with physical sampling. Such technology increases efficiency and saves time at the same time.
Neeraj Akhoury, managing director and chief executive officer of Ambuja Cements and chief executive officer of India Holcim, said: “At Ambuja Cements, we are committed to digitizing the entire business of the company. Our main strategy is to strengthen the 'green' factory in all our units and to manage our operations more efficiently. We visualize a factory with efficient technology, automation and digitization. "
Ambuja Cements increases the use of digital technologies to optimize processes and ensure optimal efficacy. To improve its commercial reach, the cement maker has also embraced a digital first and consumer-centric approach.
